CANchecked MFD28 for Toyota GR86 / Subaru BRZ Gen 2

The vehicle-specific MFD28 Gen2 transforms your air vent into a smart display with features you won't want to be without. CANchecked displays are designed for easy installation by anyone. For most models, we offer illustrated installation instructions, allowing you to install your display without a visit to a workshop.

Different views

Configure your own view or choose from various pre-made views:

• The display comes with predefined sample views.
• Creating your own views is possible and encouraged.
• Up to ten pages possible.
• 20 different widget types (e.g. sensor value, analog pointer, YT diagram, tachometer bar, circular display, vertical/horizontal bar)
• Widgets are scalable in size and can be positioned using drag and drop.
• Widget colors are fully adjustable.
• Up to 64 widgets per page.

Display Setup Software

You can fully customize your display to your needs. The integrated log viewer allows you to download and view log files. A CAN logger is also integrated. The core feature is the integrated TRI editor, which lets you configure sensors (whether CAN bus or internal): Assign minimum/maximum values for warnings and rename your sensors.

Supported Parameters

Your display comes standard with pre-configured TRI/TRX files. These files define all the sensors that will be queried. These sensors vary from motor to motor. Here's an excerpt of what's possible:

• Temperatures - Exhaust gas temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake air temperature, outside temperature, fuel temperature, DSG temperature
• Press - Boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure, lift pump pressure, actual/target rail pressure
• Lambda/mixture - Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adaptation, long-term lambda adaptation
• Miscellaneous - Engine speed, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle valve angle, total ignition timing, ignition timing retard per cylinder, N75 duty cycle in %, terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values

If any values are missing, we can add them later.

Inputs and expansion

Any sensor can be connected via the four analog inputs – we support both linear 0-5V and NTC sensors.
Our in-house CANchecked sensors are pre-installed in the TRI/TRX files and simply need to be connected.

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Converter for exhaust gas temperature probe type K (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0-10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0-5.5 bar absolute (BST10)

You can use our pre-assembled AIN cable harness for the connection.

In addition to the analog sensors, you can also connect our external shift light with 8 LEDs. This can flash in different colors, and the rev limits and colors can be configured directly on the display.

You connect the ethanol sensor directly to the display. You need a pull-up resistor (10K) between 5V and the signal. Afterwards, you can view and log the ethanol content and temperature directly on the display.
